Site Visit 1

Risk assessments consist of a three step process.

The first step is site visit 1.  This is the information gathering stage.

Our assessor would need access to all areas of your premises and would need to view any and all relevant documentation. (e.g. existing fire safety procedures, records of fire precautions & tests, PAT testing register etc.)

They will need to interview key personnel and be given the opportunity to speak to any member of staff if so required.

Full and frank cooperation from all staff is the basis of any good fire risk assessment.

Information gathering

At this stage the following information will be needed:

Plans and schematic diagrams – any existing plans available are advantageous.

Records of any existing fire precautions such as weekly fire alarm tests & PAT tests.

Interviews – key personnel and a selection of other staff are interviewed on visit one.
